Ship of Magic by Robin Hobb

4.0

Another trilogy in the #RealmOfTheElderlings series is #TheLiveshipTraders and it is also one I've read in my youth.

Because it is available in YouTube (or should I say while it is available) I decided to continue with the full series.

This is about ships made of Wizardwood and come alive after 3 generations and the people who quicken them and work aboard them. This is also about slavers and pirates and family honour.

There are so many great characters in this series - Althea is stubborn, Malta needs a thrashing, Wintrow is such a cinnamon roll and the Liveship Ophelia is loud and bawdy.

Listening to it, though, was like reading it for the first time since I cannot remember very much. Also, this narrator is breathy but she grows on you.
