This is the first book I have EVER DNF’d. It’s like it never went through an editor. I have no idea how it got published when it reads like a middle schooler’s creative writing project. It’s elementary, immature, lacks personality, soulless, and it tells me everything instead of showing me anything. All the dialogue is clipped and lifeless — NOBODY talks like that. It actually pisses me off how bad this book is written. I’m literally offended that it attacked me like that. Ugh.
