This was my first hockey romance - and I was NOT disappointed! I devoured it in a day. I ordered dinner via delivery so I didn't have to stop reading to cook. I audibly squeaked at some parts. I sobbed at some parts.
I love that Hailey did an amazing job getting me hooked into the world. I also loved that she used a different nickname for Charlie when it came to her ex, it definitely showed the divide between them. Jake's inner monologues had my heart clenching and I was ready to burst because he's an amazing dude.
The found family trope is one of my top faves, and this by far does it PERFECTLY. I will be snagging a physical copy of this book when it's released so I can highlight all 94+ passages again.
Hailey Rodger absolutely has a new fan.
I would highly recommend this to my friends / audience.
