This was an enjoyable ride. Lots of varied characters and the world of magic. I did find a lot of repetition; some characters felt one-dimensional. One of the weird things was how one of the love interests was introduced being a complete jerk, and then we're supposed to just... forgive him? Odd choice.

The third act became a bit convoluted before being neatly tied up. But it all made sense.

All in all, though. This was a fun read.
