A really fantastic story about a group of nurses who deserved so much more recognition when they were alive. I had the pleasure of hearing the author present her research on interviews with nurses during the pandemic, which led me to the book. Although my experience during COVID didn’t come close to the combat and imprisonment these nurses experienced, there are certainly a lot of similarities to our stories. Thank you to Beth for bringing these women’s stories to light, I will now never forget the Angels of Bataan.
