This was one school assignment that I actually enjoyed! Oswald Chambers was the author of "My Utmost for His Highest". He ministered to the troops stationed in Africa during WWI. It's amazing to see how he spent himself for those men. If you look at the before and after pictures (before he went to Africa and after he'd been there a while) it's amazing how much he aged! It's been over 10 years since I read it, and I can still remember.
