Rude Awakenings of a Jane Austen Addict by Laurie Viera Rigler
2.0
Much like Confessions of a Jane Austen Addict, this delightfully-premised novel fell very flat in inexperienced, ill-researched hands.
This wasn't quite as unbelievable as Confessions, but the main character's reactions and inner monologue feel inauthentic and the characters overall are weak.
I really don't think this even rises to my 'beach read' criteria. If you're a true Austen fan or an educated person of any persuasion, I recommend steering clear of this book.
