Go as a River by Shelley Read
5.0
It's the 1940's, Victoria Nash is a young girl growing up and finding her way in a home of men when she meets the love of her life.
Unfortunately, their ill-fated love leads to tragic events and decisions. I was gutted and so sad. However, Shelley's writing is so eloquent and her descriptions of both the land and characters are so vivid and heartfelt that despite all the ugliness and sorrow occurring, the beauty, love and hope did shine through.
A powerful, beautiful novel of an amazing brave, strong young woman. I highly recommend this one.
