When I first started reading I thought Halle and I were one and the same, and all I wanted to do was to give her a hug through the book. By the end of the book, Henry just spoke to me on another level. It’s one thing to relate to a character and another complete to identify with them. He is also the definition of a gentleman and I hope to find nothing less in my life.
It’s taken me longer to read this book because reading about your feelings and experiences in a different perspective was both eye opening and tear inducing so it’s safe to say I was an emotional mess by the end. That being said I absolutely loved this book and it’s my new comfort read for sure, I could read about Halle, Henry and Maple Hills forever. Also Will, count your days buddy. Comes to show that sometimes it’s the people you know best that hurt you the most.
While I really liked Icebreaker, I have to say I’m really enjoying the direction the rest of her books have gone with. The friendships in this book are everything. Henry and Halle are everything. Thank you so much Hannah for giving us this book.
