This was cute! Very silly goofy, a great read to start the year with. I didn’t expect smut in this book, for some reason, but I don’t hate it. I felt confused with the silliness of the main characters and the violent gore of the fighting scenes. It was a weird contrast, and it was difficult to accept violent acts with funny banter on the same page. I think the romance was cute, but a bit rushed. I think we could’ve had just one spicy scene instead of however many there were, and the rest of that space can be filled with them getting to know each other better. And I needed the epilogue to be waaaaay longer than two pages. I did enjoy the world building, and the plot was actually interesting outside of the romance! I think this could’ve been a much longer book & I would’ve enjoyed it more!
