I was a little disappointed that Lilith faded into the background, but I understand that Akin’s story is the natural continuation of Lilith’s choices in the first book. I’m happy that Gabe and Tate continued to be delightfully complex and unpredictable.
I do wish that the publisher included a glossary of Oankali words, because I found myself confused several times. I still don’t understand the differences between Toaht, Akjai, and Dinso. Hopefully that will be cleared up in “Imago.”
