The Vagina Bible: The Vulva and the Vagina: Separating the Myth from the Medicine by Jen Gunter

5.0

This book should be added to a required reading list for sexual education courses in school.

CW: uterus, blood, ivs

I initially started reading the book as my uterus was/is trying to unalive me through the extremely excessive blood loss due to a "cobble road" of fibroids on the inside of my uterus that have haunted my gynecologist who said she could still "vividly remember" the look of my uterus a year later.

That being said, if you have a uterus that's not trying to unalive you, or you have an interest in learning more about vaginas in general, you will also find interesting and relevant information in this book.

I loved this book until I was at the hospital weekly and could not stand anything related to medicine, so I read the chapters that were relevant to my own health issues and stepped away to read anything unrelated to medicine whilst dealing with the burning of my weekly infiltrated IVs for the span of 4-6hrs each week.

Escapism is very powerful, but so is information, so arm yourself with a bit of both.
