I enjoyed many aspects of this book. The author does a wonderful job of building out a tapestry of story including trauma and beauty. I would say the trauma was pretty heavy handed and maybe we were supposed to see the beauty out of that. The resilience of urban native people or indigenous people over time. But I definitely hoped there would be a bit more showcasing that beauty when the tapestry really comes together. But it was extremely well written and I do hope the author puts out more work.
