How to Forgive a Highlander by Michelle McLean

4.0

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is the first book i've read by Michelle Mclean and it certainly won't be the last.

How to forgive a highlander was a quick, fun read. Rose and William were adorable together. I always liked a bickering couple but this is so difficult to get right. McLean walks a fine line where the couple's charming bickering showcases the chemistry between the leads instead of them being annoying.

While Rose was a brave straightforward character, William was a hero who knows his flaws, admits to it and overcomes it with flying colors. Rose was a perfect match for William even though she lacked the diffidence her role was supposed to have.

I did take a whole to connect with the characters since I haven't read any of the previous books, but the story got me hooked pretty fast. I couldn't put the book down and enjoyed the dynamics between our lead characters.
I enjoyed reading this book so much I'm going to read the previous books in the series.
