Holy shit. I was not expecting this to be that good. This is a really hard book to review because you could give something small away. There are some crazy twists and turns throughout the story.

Metal Slinger is a solid four stars, but the ending definitely made this a five-star book.

The world building and the politics are really interesting. There's this underlying conflict that I hope is explored in later books. There are some things that were glossed over about the Heirs that I'm really curious about. Like what each element has which powers. What do you mean that they are centuries old.

There's a moment there where I found that the plot got a little boring, and I started to hate some of the characters. But there is a reason for that and how everything ties together was done beautifully.

The ending really made the book, and I'm really interested to see if Rachel Schneider can do it again whenever we get the next one.
