The Mr. Right Checklist by Melissa Foster

4.0

If rom-coms are your jam, stop everything and grab Melissa Foster’s “The Mr. Right Checklist”! This book hooked me from page one, and I couldn’t put it down. It’s got all the best tropes: grumpy/sunshine, opposites attract, fake dating, and just the right amount of forced proximity to keep things spicy.
Meet Fletcher: a swoon-worthy, hot professor who’s sworn off love after his divorce. The only commitment he’s interested in is to his family and his lovable dog, Molly. Then there’s Destiny: a cheerful dog groomer with big dreams of launching her own marriage proposal business. Despite some tough losses, she’s full of hope and totally determined to find her happily ever after.
Their worlds collide in the “most” awkward way when Destiny sets up her first-ever proposal for a client—only to discover that Fletcher is the intended fiancé, and the client is one of his stalker students. Talk about a disaster. After the chaos settles, Fletcher agrees to help Destiny get her business off the ground—if she’ll pretend to be his girlfriend for his brother’s wedding.
Fake dating? Check. Off-the-charts chemistry? Double-check. Destiny and Fletcher’s banter is hilarious, their growing friendship is sweet, and their romantic tension is next-level. But there’s one catch—Fletcher doesn’t check a single box on Destiny’s Mr. Right Checklist. Can they make it work anyway? And will Fletcher finally let his walls down and open his heart to love?
This book has everything you could want in a rom-com: laughs, swoons, and characters you’ll root for from start to finish. Melissa Foster nailed it with this one—it’s fun, flirty, and totally unputdownable. Do yourself a favor and read it ASAP!
