4 stars — You know, for a short story, I felt surprisingly invested in Dru and Roxy’s story. It was sexy, which was totally expected, but always delightful. Ms. Erickson really knows how to write steamy scenes… But the part that wasn’t expected was the sweetness of the connection between Dru and Roxy. I mean, yes, it was super fast, and a lot of sexy lust, but I believed the chemistry between them, that they were drawn to one another.

And the ending was super satisfying. Exactly what I was looking for as a bridge between Blood Guard and Blood Veil!
