I thought this did a brilliant job of positioning the day-to-day struggles of teachers to care for their children, alongside the changing landscape in Australia with the development of NAPLAN and the National Curriculum, an increased emphasis on grading and reporting requirements and decreased funding for the sector. I fell in love with all the students and their stories and was simultaneously filled with rage at the under resourcing and the immense pressure on teachers. Something that everyone needs to read!
