I was hoping for a bit of Oxford/rowing nostalgia and instead I got the most terribly researched, lacklustre romcom I think I've ever read. I should've known I was in for a rough ride when the author mentions an Oxford university campus in the first chapter but I thought I would give it a chance. However it just kept getting worse with the author referring to the cox as a coxswain every time and just generally not really knowing anything about rowing or Oxbridge.

I maybe could've forgiven the clear lack of research if the characters and story were good but Oz was yapping about soulmates within an hour of meeting Kate so the next 400 pages were rendered fairly useless.
