I went into this book thinking I’d really enjoy it. I’ve always been interested in Munchausen by proxy cases, however the book just didn’t sit well with me. I was trying so hard to agree with Rose Gold’s decisions, but they just seemed too excessive with getting her mother back. I would have preferred a storyline where Rose Gold learns how to live in a society without her mother. I love a good revenge story, but at the end I just felt bad for the mother and got no satisfaction for the revenge. The ending was very fast paced and I knew the ending halfway into the book.
Moderate: Child abuse, Eating disorder, Mental illness, Suicide, and Vomit
