Three Holidays and a Wedding by Uzma Jalaluddin, Marissa Stapley

Did not finish book. Stopped at 64%.
rating: 2 ⭐️ i feel really bad for giving this book the rating that i’m giving it because i wanted to like this so bad. the premise sounded interesting and the idea of a multicultural holiday romance book is what drew me in, but i unfortunately DNF’d it.

the writing and characters were very juvenile to me. the main 2 female characters are supposed to be in their late twenties i think, but you would’ve thought they were middle schoolers with how they acted. so much miscommunication and silly rumors the whole time that could’ve been solved fairly quickly. idk it was just very boring, annoying, and corny at times. i wish it would’ve had anna’s boyfriend there being stranded with her and they work through their own relationship issues and see them grow, instead of creating another love story with the first man who was nice to her (who she barely knew and barely had any chemistry with) but i digress. like i said, i did enjoy the multicultural representation that this book had.

this is all my personal opinion, i know some people really like those cheesy hallmark type of books that are about friendship, family, and love so if that’s your vibe then you’ll probably like this one!
