Shopaholic to the Stars by Sophie Kinsella

2.0

If you go into the Shopaholic books looking for fine literature, you're going to be let down. If you go in looking for a damn good time, you're probably all set ... unless you went into this one.

Echoing the sentiments of other commenters, this book just didn't do it. Unlike most of these people, I really DID enjoy the previous book ([b:Mini Shopaholic|7415016|Mini Shopaholic (Shopaholic, #6)|Sophie Kinsella|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1388191918s/7415016.jpg|9351456]) ... but like them, I was completely gobsmacked by the unlikeability of Becky in this book -- particularly because she is normally pretty spastic but completely lovable. The plot pacing was really, really off -- so that it both dragged and whirled completely out of control.

I will, of course, read the next book as it comes out (looks like the whole crew is headed to Vegas, baby!), but I hope Kinsella manages to recapture some Bloomwood sparkle.
