Unsettling novella with sharp and clear prose, diary-entry style. It is deeply painful to recognize how many women experience abusive, toxic, damaging relationships like the one depicted here. Perhaps not always to this extreme, I think so many women would connect to our main character Lilja’s inner thoughts. I didn’t love the ending, but it is still worth a read.
