Rift: A Memoir of Breaking Away from Christian Patriarchy by Cait West
Did not finish book. Stopped at 26%.
I resonate with many of the experiences and themes of this book, but even though so much of it feels familiar—I can’t keep reading because of the writing style and format.
The many short stories feel kind of poetic by the way they’re broken up and their prose, but it doesn’t seem to flow very well and I feel like it should given the genre.
I love the idea. Loved hearing Cait West speak at an event detailing her experience but I’m DNFing at 26%.
