Falling for the CEO by Audra North

2.0

A quick, easy read to pass an hour. I liked both Meredith and Andrew but there was nothing new about this story. I’m not a big fan of the awkward, klutzy, don’t-know-I’m-attractive heroine.

Andrew was a really sweet, beta hero. It was refreshing to read a high powered CEO who isn’t an alpha jerk. Small thing, but there’s a scene where Meredith accidentally breaks her glasses the night before the big gala. I was about to roll my eyes at the contrived way she was going to be de-nerded. But thankfully, the scene ends with Meredith having to wear a new pair of cuter glasses that she bought but never wore. Thank you Audra North for not giving the impression that glasses are not sexy or attractive. I’m not a big fan of the virginal “ugly duckling” story line. That being said, this was better than I normally see and Meredith quickly finds her confidence.
