What a surprise! This was one of those books that I picked up for 1$ and thought it would be a nice dull read. Then to find out it was part of a series I didn't think I'd even make it halfway through. It turned out to be a great read with a ton of depth to the story for a typical mystery book. I might have to pick up another book by this author. Definitely would recommend this book it reads like a stand-alone.
