The Boy and His Ribbon by Pepper Winters

5.0

The Boy and His Ribbon is a magnificent book. One of those that stay with you, consuming thoughts and making you feel every single word. It broke me, yet I'll treasure this story forever.

The outstanding narrations by Will M. Watt and Hayden Bishop made Ren and Della come to life. They felt even more real. Their journey is filled with emotions, even when words are not enough to describe hardships and injustice adequately. It's heartbreaking yet beautiful because they share a bond like no other.

The storytelling and the character development are exceptional. Seeing such complex characters grow and listening to their nuances was a real treat. I have nothing but good things to say about this book, to the point that I'm not even mad about the cliffhanger. I'm ready to discover what comes next.
