It's interesting to note that cats can not be considered 100% domesticated and he makes a plea at the end for helping cats to finish the domestication process in order to help them survive as a species. He's looking at the bigger picture where we are asking different things of our cats now (companionship) than we were even 30 years ago (pest control). And there are large anti-cat "factions" around who blame them for the destruction of wildlife, a claim that is not wholly substantiated.
