This book was a quintessential book. From dragon veterinarians, to pirates, dark mages, and family secrets, this book is all those sweet words like charming and delightful.
In a journey to carry out the will of her long-absent parents (recently killed by pirates), Brontë Mettlestone travels to meet each of her 11 aunts and deliver a gift. It’s magical and whimsical and told from the recollections of a serious-eyed, dancing-souled child. Immediate addition to my favorite books list.
WITH the added bonus of illustrations!!
It had an air of Nanny McPhee about it and the vibe of The Mysterious Benedict Society.
