As if I couldn’t love Erik J. Brown after reading All That’s Left in The World, this book comes along and just completely blows me away. Lose You To Find Me is a phenomenal book about how the best things happen when life doesn’t go to plan and this was exactly what I needed rn! Tommy and Gabe are so well written because you love them despite the fact that they make awful decision at times and I feel that the best decision that this book makes is not having them be the end game. The strength in their relationship ultimately comes from how they are able to pick up the pieces and simply be there for each other and I was honestly routing for Brad and Tommy and to see them test the waters of a relationship had me kicking my legs and screaming! The comedy and characters are fantastically done here and I honestly might have loved this even more than All That’s Left in The World which is crazy considering that was one of my top books last year! Lose You To Find Me is not only one of the best books I have read this year but also one of the best queer YA books of recent memory! This is messy, complicated character perfection and although this book threw me so far into a rollercoaster that I wanted to scream, I’d never want it another way!!
