This took me a little over three weeks to finish, largely because it’s so dense and informative, with many citations and quotes from literature, film, speeches, etc. it also doesn’t help that I started this shortly after the inauguration and so much of the Doomerism felt a bit too close to home at times. However, I appreciated the humorous and thoughtful insight into history’s cyclical nature and the gleams of hope we should still do our best to have, no matter how scary it gets.
