Tough one to review. I love Deitch's work and enjoyed the sly look at how religion is co-opted. But I wanted a more active protagonist and a bigger pay-off. Still, Deitch's seedy underbelly of pop culture mileau is endlessly fascinating, and he mixes prose and comics to terrific effect.
