Yeahuuup definitely a favorite. I cannot believe i have never read this series. This is one of those books that has you staying up the entire night because your heart is literally pounding out of your chest to get to the end and know what happens. i loved the characters in this book we actually have complex and multi-layered mcs that don't make your eye-rolls because they are actually intelligent and make wise decisions. There was great character development I felt all characters were easily relatable. I loved the genre blend of fantasy and dystopia and it does not shy away from the reality of being at the bottom of the hierarchy. The book is DARK and you will consistently get FURIOUs at the cruelty that these characters face. I loved how we get to experience both perspective throughout the book. Tahir is a great storyteller and I cannot wait to keep exploring the world that she is building!
