This was heavier on the suspense than it was on the romance, but it was really good suspense. I was pretty much riveted to the case Elaina was investigating and I did enjoy the slow burn romance she had on the side with Troy. I wasn't too impressed with Troy so the heavier suspense worked well for me in this book.

I get a kick out of a female character that is smarter than her male counterpoints. Despite this being Elaina's first FBI case, she grew up with a very, well known criminal profiler as a father. Instead of paving the way for her, it actually made her job harder. The good ole boy club tried to keep her out of the investigation so I thoroughly enjoyed the fact that she is the one who solved the case. Even if it was with the help of Troy.

I borrowed the audiobook on the audible romance package. The narrator was good but I wasn't a fan of her male voice. This is more of a personal preference and I did get used to it after awhile.
