i think i need stop with books that say slow burn bec they never deliver. anyway i like the magic system and the world. the characters were tolerable but i wish the female character wasn’t so clueless and didn’t keep going to places by herself esp since she’s being targeted. the romance was was not the best but i finished it so there is that.

the writing was weird bec it went from old timey to current day speech back and forth which ruined the vibe. also introducing other povs at fifty four percent when it was only one pov that whole duration? its a no no for me
