Attempting to re-read this as an adult was a mistake. Now I remember why I disliked the main male love interest. Tell me why this literally opens with Child against Child sexual assault and writes it in a way where it’s seemingly meant to be funny and then he’s the main love interest for an entire what 30 something book series. It’s not even a case of this book ageing poorly like please- tell me how that’s a joke. Please.
