Tips and Trysts by Rebecca Kinkade

4.0

Tips and Trysts is a spicy, laugh-out-loud romance that brings together an unlikely pair: Cora Flores, a bold, unapologetic camgirl, and Everett Logan, a polished congressional candidate from a family of politicians. It’s the classic opposites-attract trope, but with a fresh, edgy twist, especially when Cora takes a bullet for Everett, sparking undeniable chemistry—and complications.

What I Loved:
The banter between Cora, Everett, and their friend group is hilarious and engaging, adding a lively energy to the book that kept me turning the pages. Their interactions feel authentic, and the group dynamics add depth to the main characters, making their world feel more vibrant. The character development is well-done, with each character growing individually as well as in their relationships. The pacing of the story was just right, moving things along without feeling rushed, yet never dragging either. Cora’s and Everett’s personalities shine through, making them memorable and believable as they navigate their chemistry and contrasting worlds.

What I Didn’t Love:
The spicy scenes are plentiful and well-written; some of them just weren’t to my taste, but that didn’t distract from the story at all. Importantly, the spicy scenes aren’t the whole plot, so skimming or skipping them won’t detract from the main storyline. Additionally, the plot twist near the end felt a little underwhelming—I’d expected a bit more impact.

I rated Tips and Trysts 4/5 stars and would definitely recommend it to a friend. It’s a light-hearted, entertaining read and would be a great addition to any spicy book fan’s collection.
