What sounded like a great plot just wasn't carried out well. It often felt silly or didn't make sense rather than being a dark YA novel. I loved the girls and their powers. I loved the sorts of interactions they had with the ghostly entities. Unfortunately things just weren't written in a way that made this a novel that I enjoyed.

Thanks to Del Rey for the physical ARC via NYCC 2024.
