Entirely too long for a book with little plot. I enjoy dysfunctional and complicated family relationship stories, but this felt very first-world problem and was difficult to get behind. The only character that had real depth was Wendy, and she feels somewhat villainized throughout the story. This book could have been half the length and still gotten the same story across
Graphic: Cancer, Child death, Miscarriage, and Abandonment
Moderate: Alcoholism
Minor: Death of parent
