The Angriest Monster on Mill Street is a story about Albie, how his temper gets the best of him, and one technique he uses to get that temper under control.
My 5 & 7 year old both gave it 5 out of 5 stars.
The illustrations have a simple and endearing style, and the text's rhymes, while not always predictable, did engage them both.

Here are a few of the things they said about the story:
- "It's telling you to take some time to calm down and relax."
- "The monster is really cute when he's not angry."
- I didn't like "that he broke all the windows on the street."
- The rainbow "was really pretty."
We have sometimes struggled with inflamed tempers in our household, so this is a welcome reminder that there are things you can do to defuse your anger.
