Okay so the author is a slam poet with an NPR Tiny Desk Concert--and listening to the Tank and the Bangas' Tiny Desk is transformative. 1000% recommend looking them up.

Book is still really good tho and I think it's a good supplement to the live performance. I would recommend the audiobook (even tho I haven't listened to it) since it's narrated by the author.
