In the very beginning of 2024, Emily Grace sent me a list of 365 words and challenged us both to write a poem for each one that year. I managed 286. Emily Grace, however, not only wrote poems for all 365, she then put them all in one book and released it before the year ended. Absolute madwoman. And it's phenomenal. It's a true example of her poetry at its best in all of its tones, moods, and topics. There is dreamy love, there is aching sadness, there is joy in the grand and the mundane, there is gentle affection, there is razor-sharp anger, there is playful rhyme, there is breathless prose, there is an exploration of the physical shape on the page. If you want to know everything that Emily Grace can do, this is the place to start. What a book. What a poet.
