I didn't expect to enjoy this one as much as I did, much less have it take me back to High School and give me all sorts of emotions like this did.

I went through a gamut of emotions reading this and a lot because it reminded me so much of different moments in my senior year of high school that i had to pause at different moments to reflect my own past, move on, and get back to reading about Liz. That's a rare talent in an author - where i, the reader, can connect so much with a character, so kudos to Johnson for accomplishing that feat.

The overall story was fun! It was so much fun to read about a high school prom, the ups and downs of that age, the changes in relationships, the growing apart and yet forming new relationships, the borderline of being a kid and yet learning to grow still. The author did a great job capturing a lot of that high school experience with a touch of young love and hope.
