Graphic: Rape, Sexual assault, Sexual violence, Torture, Violence, Kidnapping, and War
This book was an illuminating read focusing on the Japanese occupation of Singapore in World War II. It deals with the atrocities on comfort women and the general society and their implications on their lives which go beyond one generation. This book is heartbreaking and gut wrenching but still leaves with reader with the hope that things will get better one day.
