I loved the romance thread in this book. I loved the found family, the friendship, the setting. I loved that these characters were closer to 30 than 20 and were having normal life experiences.  I did not love the whole midlife crisis meltdown that got them back on the island to begin with. That plot line felt over the top and eyerolly. Otherwise I really enjoyed this one. Every Summer After is still my favorite.
