Dead Mountain: The Untold True Story of the Dyatlov Pass Incident by Donnie Eichar

adventurous informative tense medium-paced

3.0

Interesting topic, and the author has a compelling writing style, but I still found myself getting bored at times. I also wish there had been a little bit more book space dedicated to what was decided on as the final theory of the hikers’ death - just seemed a bit rushed at the end. This book came to my attention in a list of conspiracy theory books, and ultimately it wasn’t nearly as conspiracy-focused as I had been led to believe so that may be coloring my thoughts about it. That said, it’s probably far more worth reading if you’re into hiking or mountaineering disasters.
