An enjoyable read that I would recommend to fans of modern fantasy. The magic system was a bit vague but knowing all the ins and outs wasn’t really important yet. I liked the banter and the spice. The MMC was actually morally gray, not just seemingly so. The story was unique yet familiar. I look forward to the next book.
