This was such a great read! It was heartfelt, funny, and even made me tear up. I’m so glad I got to read it. Also - the amount of beautiful quotes??? I’m so tempted to do a cheeky reread to highlight the lines that stood out to me! I loved the dual timeline and loved seeing young Win and Sarah! Their friendship really was so beautifully captured in this book!
However there were a few caveats - the main caveat being that I wish this book was dual-POV! IMO we were robbed of Caleb’s perspective and I’ll die on that hill. I needed to hear Caleb’s side of the story, I felt like without it, the story lacked a little something (I can’t put my finger on it!) and at parts it made me resent Sarah because we were only seeing her side of the argument. I just really wish we saw something, even an epilogue, from Caleb’s perspective, I truly think it would’ve been the cherry on top that would’ve bumped this up to a high 4-5☆ read for me! Despite this I still absolutely adored this story 💗
Also, probably to nobody’s surprise, I adored seeing my babies Win and Bo again!!
My advice - If you plan to pick this up and haven’t read Out on a Limb yet - please do yourself a favour and read OOAL first as you will definitely appreciate elements of this story more after reading it.
Definitely recommend this book for fans of the following tropes:
♡ High-school sweethearts
♡ Marriage in turmoil
♡ Second-chance
♡ Forced proximity
♡ Dual timeline
