Common Sense for the 21st Century: Only Nonviolent Rebellion Can Now Stop Climate Breakdown and Social Collapse by Roger Hallam
informative
fast-paced
3.0
It was interesting and informative about different types of protest action, outlining their strengths and weaknesses. There were also some interesting things about bridging divides between different groups. However, I struggled with the author's confidence in the effectiveness of his ideas, particularly when discussing the number of people required to drive change. Unfortunately, some arguments felt simplistic and a bit naïve. I hesitate to be too critical, though, because the author is an activist who has driven real, positive change—something I can’t claim for myself. What do I know?
