Accidental Cheerleader by Mimi McCoy

I was in love with this book growing up, but re-reading it for the first time in years, there’s really nothing of adult value here. It honestly feels like a really realistic depiction of middle school culture though, minus the god-like affects cheers have on the outcome of sports games. There’s a lot of anti-makeup stuff in here too which was weird.

The fact that I related so strongly to the main character growing up is probably why I have anxiety today.
